Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Software Developer 4 within our team. Please note that this position requires a commitment to full-time employment and is not open to contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, development, and deployment of a complex full-stack application for our Tax and Revenue team.
  • Develop and maintain front-end applications.
  • Build and optimize back-end services and REST APIs.
  • Design and build back-end integration flows.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings/processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and proactively implement improvements to the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 6 + years of professional experience in full-stack application development.
  • 6 + years supporting large scale or complex applications in production.
  • Strong experience with enterprise application design patterns.
  • Very strong proficiency in either core JavaScript language programming (Node.js) or core C# language programming (.NET).
  • Proficiency in UI design and a JavaScript-based UI framework such as Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Extensive experience with one or more traditional RDBMS such as SQLServer, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Recent, professional experience with a NoSQL database such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.
  • Knowledge of Git version control system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor/teach and serve as a thought leader.
  • Forward thinker with the thought of building the software with the end user in mind.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Vue.js.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and Scrum practices.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools. 

The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual  range is $110,000.00 - $142,000.00.

This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. It is classified as exempt under applicable law. Additionally, this position aligns with the Voyatek Career Framework as a level  04 individual contributorin a Software Development position.
