Job Summary

The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for overseeing contractor activities, ensuring safety compliance, and managing construction progress in alignment with project schedules and standards. The role involves coordinating between contractors, project teams, and site operations to ensure efficient execution and quality delivery. The CM also manages documentation, reporting, and contract-related communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description
- Manage contractor safety in compliance with client requirements and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate with contractor supervision and direct work tasks as needed to meet project schedules
- Oversee contractor interfaces and ensure efficient workflow execution
- Monitor project schedule and assess job progress or percentage completion
- Understand design intent, process flows, and equipment functions within scope
- Manage contract communications, change orders, and related documentation
- Lead and document weekly construction progress meetings
- Review and clarify contractor RFIs with project team support
- Inspect installed work to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards
- Collaborate with project team leads to resolve quality issues
- Support PM and project controls in identifying and managing change orders
- Prepare weekly construction and progress reports
- Act as liaison between site management and project teams
- Coordinate construction activities with site operations and permits
- Maintain and manage project drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Track client-procured equipment and materials from receipt to release
- Verify completeness of equipment and material deliveries with project leads
- Monitor and control project costs for T&M-based work
- Supervise site staff activities, including time, expenses, and responsibilities
- Complete required training as directed by Construction Coordinator
Skills Required
- Minimum of 7+ years of construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction management and contractor coordination
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and compliance
- Ability to interpret project schedules, drawings, and technical documents
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience in cost control and change order management
- Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
- Experience managing field teams and contractor activities
- Willingness to comply with project-specific and site-specific requirements
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- OSHA safety certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Relevant construction or project management training
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
- Shift Start: 07:00AM
- Ability to work on-site and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $53.72 to $61.72 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
