Position Scope
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving overall company growth by developing strategies to expand market reach and generate new revenue streams for medium voltage, high voltage, and BESS construction projects in the Data Center/ Mission Critical market.
Location & Travel: This is a Remote position with up to 50% travel.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new clients, market trends, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
- Proactively source and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry events.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at potential clients, understanding their needs and pain points.
- Craft compelling proposals and presentations tailored to each client's specific requirements, highlighting the value proposition of the company's products or services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Manage existing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and track performance against targets.
- Contribute to the development and execution of overall business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and associations to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Review initial project opportunity requests for proposals (RFPs) and coordinate with Estimators in the preparation of bid proposals to clients
- Solicit quotes and proposals from subcontractors and vendors, and review quotes and proposals for compliance with project requirements
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Experience working with contacts in the Data Center / Mission Critical markets and knowledge of market trends.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite
- Knowledge and experience with medium and/ or high voltage substations, collection systems, transmission lines, and /or BESS preferred.

- Ability to travel up to 50% for client visits, project meetings, and/or contract negotiations
- Must be hard-working, passionate, inquisitive, and have the willingness to perform any task that is required (even if not listed above)
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and build rapport with clients.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of successful sales experience, including lead qualification, objection handling, and closing techniques.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the utility industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and identify potential business opportunities.
- Presentation Skills: Confidence in delivering compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations, financial analysis, and revenue drivers.
