This role provides strategic leadership for the agency’s technological function, ensuring reliable, secure, and forward‑thinking systems that support high‑quality patient care. The Director of IT serves as a member of the senior leadership team and acts as the organization’s Chief Privacy Officer, overseeing compliance with all federal and state privacy regulations related to protected health information.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the planning, deployment, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, including infrastructure, applications, telecommunications, and end user technology.
- Oversee IT strategy, system upgrades, integrations, security controls, and disaster recovery planning in alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as Chief Privacy Officer, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information (ePHI).
- Establish and support a Privacy Oversight Committee in partnership with senior leadership and compliance.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Develop and enforce IT and privacy policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership and staff on technology and information privacy matters.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technology related facilities’ needs.
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop IT staff; ensure consistent training across the organization.
- Develop and manage the department budget and participate in overall agency planning.
- Conduct system evaluations, field support, and oversight to ensure solutions meet operational and regulatory needs.

- Applies root‑cause analysis to address recurring operational and cost challenges.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive IT leadership experience; healthcare or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise applications, databases, data management, servers, networks, security administration, and website/intranet development.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and mentor small teams while delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused results.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively and manage conflict.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical and regulatory documents.
- Demonstrated experience with budget preparation and fiscal management.
- Valid California driver’s license with proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
