Are you an experienced Enrolled Agent or CPA seeking a meaningful role overseeing a department focused on individual tax returns? Our client, a well-established organization, is looking for a dedicated professional to lead tax operations and ensure smooth, efficient handling of client tax needs. This role offers a competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000, with flexibility up to $95,000 for candidates with exceptional experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

In this position, you’ll manage the tax department, focusing on streamlined tax preparation and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in tax laws and an interest in overseeing a team dedicated to providing high-quality tax services.

This is an on-site, in-person in Western New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the tax department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient handling of individual tax returns.
• Support and guide team members to provide accurate, compliant, and timely tax preparation.
• Provide tax advice and respond to client questions, assisting them in understanding their tax obligations and outcomes.
• Stay informed on the latest tax law changes and integrate them into client services.
• Build and maintain client relationships with a focus on exceptional service and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification or CPA licensure.
• Proven experience in tax preparation and oversight.
• Strong understanding of individual tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to lead a high-performing tax team.
• Strong communication skills for client advisement and team leadership.
