As a Junior Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney, you will play an integral role in assisting with insurance defense litigation cases. Your responsibilities will include drafting pleadings, conducting basic discovery, and supporting senior attorneys in representing clients in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. This is an in-person, onsite role in the Syracuse area.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Participate in all stages of litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom representation.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide strategic legal counsel.
• Stay abreast of legal developments and trends in defense litigation to ensure the highest quality of representation.

Qualifications:

• Admitted to the New York Bar in good standing.
• 1+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense work.
• Experience, including drafting pleadings and discovery, as well as conducting depositions, mediation, and arbitration.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or currently pursing one.
