Our client, a well-respected law firm in New Orleans, is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Paralegal to join their team. If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, have a knack for keeping cases on track, and love problem-solving, this could be the perfect fit for you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Filing Like a Pro:

• Navigate federal court filings with ease using NEXTGEN/PACER/ECF.
• Handle state court filings like a boss—whether that means walking pleadings through Orleans CDC, using JeffNet, or knowing all the ins and outs of the filing process.

Mastering the Art of Service:

• Understand service requirements in different courts and how to handle affidavits, subpoenas, and all that good stuff.

Medical Record Requests:

• Track down, request, and organize medical records like a detective on a mission.
• Ensure authorizations are properly executed and follow up like a pro when records go MIA.
• Certify and sort records efficiently, so our legal team can stay ahead of the game.

Lien Confirmation & Reduction:

• If you've got experience handling liens, negotiating reductions, and keeping track of payoffs, we want to hear from you!

Basic Legal Drafting:

• Draft complaints, discovery requests, and standard motions with confidence.
• Bring your legal writing skills to the table and help us keep things moving.

Organizational Acumen:

• Save, sort, and manage documents like a digital ninja.
• Use Microsoft Suite, Adobe Professional, and other tools to modify, bates label, and convert documents as needed.

Client Communication & Problem-Solving:

• Talk to clients with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
• Be the friendly and reliable point of contact that keeps them informed and at ease.

What Our Client is Looking For:

✔️ Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
✔️ A few years (ideally 3+years) of experience in a legal setting.
✔️ Strong attention to detail and top-tier organizational skills.
✔️ Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
✔️ A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
