Position Scope
The High Voltage Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards are met and maintained across all High Voltage Division projects. This position will lead safety initiatives, oversee training programs, and provide direct support to project teams and site safety personnel.
Location & Travel: This is a remote position with 75% travel to project sites across the United States. You will receive a monthly vehicle allowance and a company pay card for any travel expenses.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all training programs across the High Voltage Division, maintaining accurate records and ensuring alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions for the High Voltage Division.
- Train and mentor new Site Safety Managers, providing guidance, support, and development to ensure consistency in safety practices across all sites.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed by all employees and contractors on-site.
- Identify at-risk behaviors and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
- Identify and understand any contractual requirements (Safety or SWPP).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and ensure the organization is compliant.
- Assist with the implementation, monitoring, and metrics communication system
- Assist Project Managers with site safety supplies and compliance with safety requirements.
- Drive project team engagement.
- Identify and Reward Safety Champion(s).
- Assist with any OSHA inspections.
- Provide assistance with weekly safety meetings, including developing relevant safety topics and materials to promote engagement and continuous improvement.
- Work with project teams on pre-planning and project close out
- Aide in training Construction Managers and Foreman on safety engagement, hazard recognition, and proactive risk management to strengthen site leadership involvement in safety.
- Communication with client / owner safety representative.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Safety Manager.
Education and Work Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of construction safety in a supervisory/ management role
- CHST or other BCSP certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge and experience with medium and/ or high voltage substations, collection systems, or transmission lines preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Take reasonable care of yourself and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the goal of zero injuries.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, motivate workers and communicate with workers and superiors.
- Skilled in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines.
- Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
