Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional with a strong understanding of the insurance industry, a keen eye for business needs, and a proven ability to translate those needs into actionable product requirements. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership:
- Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
- Product Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the product vision and meets the needs of the target audience.
- User Story Writing & Acceptance Criteria: Write detailed user stories and define clear acceptance criteria, ensuring that the development team understands the requirements and can deliver the desired functionality.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including customers, business users, and technical teams, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment.
- Sprint Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the development team to plan sprints, estimate effort, and track progress.
- Sprint Reviews & Retrospectives: Facilitate sprint reviews to demonstrate completed work and gather feedback. Conduct retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and enhance the development process.
Business Analysis:
- Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and define requirements for automation or optimization.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions, prioritize features, and measure the success of the product.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and actionable.
- Solution Design: Contribute to the design of solutions that address business needs and align with the product vision.
- Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in a business analysis role, ideally with experience in the insurance industry.
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: A deep understanding of the insurance industry, its regulations, and key performance indicators.
- Agile Methodology: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- User Story Writing: Strong ability to write clear, concise, and testable user stories.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform product decisions.
- Problem-Solving: A resourceful and adaptable problem-solver with a "get things done" attitude.
