BiC-1, LCC is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to join our team. He/she must be familiar with federal contracting and has experience coordinating and writing proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist proposal team in preparation of meaningful text and graphics
- Develop Proposal outlines, Proposal Workbook, Color Team Reviews, schedules, and working with other team members to meet deadlines and schedule
- Maintain boilerplate folders and documents, including the ability to differentiate between boilerplate and customized language
- Responsible for proposal status reporting including updating, modifying, tracking, creating reports as needed using Verizon reporting tools
- Organize, create, and facilitate briefings and templates for all meetings associated with proposal and capture activities
- Leading the management of our proposal content library
- Producing standard proposals and supporting proposal managers in the development of larger/strategic proposals
- Providing graphics support for proposals and presentations
- Working closely with project managers to deliver a proposal that addresses all required criteria outlined in an RFP
- Conducting or participating in Request for Proposal (“RFP”) strategy sessions
- Maintaining information systems, including the marketing database, master resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content
- Drafting proposals and overseeing proposal production
- Collaborating with proposal coordinators firmwide on best practices
- Assisting in identifying firms for teaming/partnering
- Completing forms required by an RFP
Requirements:
- Responsible for proposal status reporting including updating, modifying, tracking, creating reports as needed using current reporting tools
- Develop Proposal outlines, Proposal Workbook, Color Team Reviews, schedules, and working with other team members to meet deadlines and schedule
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism
- Must be an excellent writer with the ability to craft clear and compelling content
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and Illustrator, and working knowledge of other Adobe applications
- Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Must be production and detailed oriented with strong project management skills
- Technical writing/editing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject (English, communications, technical editing, writing, or similar degree preferred)
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Dependable, patient, and trustworthy, proactive and creative
- Relevant work experience as a technical proposal coordinator is preferred
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills to meet hard deadlines under pressure
- Must be familiar with Federal contracting, as well as familiarity with RFP, RFI, RFQ reading and writing
- Highly motivated, with strong desire to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift [On need basis during proposal submissions which are critical]
- Must work online in MS-SharePoint environment which is monitored for performances and billing verification of reported hours.
- This is a T&M position.
- Time and expense entries must be made in our Unanet systems – training will be given for this.
- IT proficiency in MS-360, Dynamics, SharePoint, Excel, Adobe, Teams
