Job Description:

Our client, a provider-led organization dedicated to senior living communities, is seeking a physician who can bring comprehensive geriatric primary care and post-acute care services to their patients. This role involves applying medical expertise to diagnose and treat various conditions, ensuring a complete spectrum of patient care.

 

The chosen physician will engage in extensive primary and post-acute care, focusing on geriatric patients within senior living communities. Their mission includes redefining healthcare delivery to provide optimal care and create an environment where clinicians can practice with fulfillment.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations.

- Interpret diagnostic tests and create appropriate treatment plans.

- Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic therapies.

- Collaborate with, educate, and oversee Advanced Practice Providers.

- Maintain accurate patient records and provide instruction to patients and families.

- Act independently in medical decision-making and providing diverse therapeutic services.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Expertise in primary care for geriatrics and an understanding of regulations and policies.

- Ability to maintain quality standards in medical practice.

- Effective emergency response capabilities with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Education:

- Must possess a degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).

 

Experience:

- Prior work with geriatrics in primary care, post-acute care, or a passion for value-based care is preferred.

- Proficiency in EHR documentation and billing within various medical settings.

 

License/Certification:

- Must have an unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina.

- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

- Current DPS and DEA certificates or application in progress.
