Job Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Quality Engineer will play a key role in leading quality planning, executing quality assurance activities, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and customer requirements. This position requires a strong background in supply chain management, quality, and process improvement
This role includes on-site liaison responsibilities at supplier facilities to identify and resolve root causes of quality and delivery issues related to supplier products and processes. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer teams to maintain product quality and support business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site liaison and supervision at supplier locations to identify root causes and resolve quality issues related to supplier products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Manage supplier quality performance, audits, and process qualifications.
- Establish performance indicators with the client and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and continuous improvement plans are executed.
- Coordinate with teams to analyze, understand, and resolve supplier-related issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide regular written reports as required by each work order. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant quality experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with AS9100/AS9145, PPAP, FAI (AS9102), APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Experience with aerospace components such as machining, composites, assembly, or avionics (preferred).
- Demonstrated success in supplier quality development.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours
Four (4) days per week - Up to 32 hours weekly, with potential for increased hours as needed
