Job Title: Source Inspector (Contract)
Location: Onsite, Saint-Georges, Quebec
Duration: 3+ Month Contract
Schedule: 5 days/week for the first 2 weeks, then 2 days/week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Source Inspector for a 3+ month contract in Saint-Georges, Quebec. The role involves conducting pre-shipment inspections, in-process inspections, production source inspections, and final inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards for composite painted parts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality inspection within manufacturing, specifically with composite materials and painted components, along with knowledge of paint processes and BAPs710 standards. Must be a Canadian Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-shipment, in-process, production source, and final inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Inspect composite painted parts for adherence to quality requirements and ensure no defects prior to shipping.
- Demonstrate knowledge of paint processes to assess the quality and durability of painted surfaces.
- Identify and document non-conformances, initiating NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) as required.
- Monitor in-process production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with production teams and suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all inspections and documentation align with BAPs710 standards and other applicable industry regulations.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain records of inspection activities.
- Collaborate with quality control and supply chain teams to continuously improve inspection processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, with a focus on pre-shipment inspections, in-process inspections, production source inspections, and final inspections.
- Proven experience inspecting composite materials, specifically painted parts, for quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of paint processes and industry standards, including BAPs710.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify potential defects and enforce quality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently onsite in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
