About the Role
We are seeking experienced PLM / CAD Process Engineers to support a strategic initiative focused on transitioning engineering processes and methodologies from CATIA V5 to Siemens NX.
This role will play a critical part in defining CAD standards, optimizing engineering workflows, and ensuring seamless integration of NX within Teamcenter PLM environments. The ideal candidate is highly process-oriented, technically strong in NX, and capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Standards & Process Development
- Define, document, and maintain CAD standards, templates, and best practices using Siemens NX
- Lead the transition of engineering processes from CATIA V5 to Siemens NX
- Develop and optimize engineering workflows aligned with internal customer needs
PLM & Data Management
- Develop and implement workflows for NX data management within Teamcenter PLM systems
- Integrate NX, CATIA V5, and multi-CAD environments with Teamcenter
- Identify and troubleshoot integration issues across CAD and PLM platforms
Model Compliance & Quality
- Review CAD models to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to standards
- Support application of GD&T / PMI principles within design models
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, IT, and Siemens partners to ensure alignment
- Participate in workshops to gather requirements, user stories, and process needs
- Interface with multiple engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable and applicable
Training, Mentorship & Documentation
- Conduct mentoring sessions and user training on NX and related processes
- Develop and maintain user documentation and process guidelines
- Promote adoption of new tools and methodologies across engineering teams
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Propose and implement enhancements based on internal customer feedback and operational needs
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens NX
- Strong proficiency in NX and CATIA V5 environments
- Experience with Teamcenter PLM systems and PLM principles
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and PMI standards
- Proven ability to define and improve engineering processes
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace or aircraft development environments
- Familiarity with Bombardier Engineering Systems (BES)
- Background in multi-CAD environments and PLM integrations
