Pay:  Range between $65 - $75.50 based on experience

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Support the Electrical team for assigned programs and R&T initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members in creating, communicating and balancing short- and long-term goals.
  • Contribute to peer reviews of hardware circuits to remove arc/spark phenomena and dissipate back electro-magnetic force created by highly inductive loads on contacts opening.
  • Contribute to risks evaluation associated with the project, considering technical and operational factors. Ensure successful outcomes.
  • Concur with the design proposed by the team.
  • Share deep technical knowledge of RTCA/DO-160 qualifiable hardware design and guidance within the team, provide mentorship to professional and technical expert engineers by participating in peer reviews.
  • Contribute to simulation and calculations effort to predict circuit stability and performance over the functional envelope and during qualification threats using highly recognized MathCad and LTSpice skills.
  • Improve existing models and simulations to achieve results within the allocated schedule.
  • Follow through from design to manufacturing contributing with ideas of improvement of used real estate.
  • Contribute to the documentation for certification effort using discrimination skills concerning the information to be presented and skills of report revision in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and constructive attitude during difficult and complex situations by taking ownership and following through commitments

How to thrive in this role?

  • You possess at least a Master degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) and at least 25 years of practical experience in design of electrical hardware circuits for integration in electrical circuits in the aviation domain
  • You possess good technical writing and oral presentation skills (English is required, French is an asset).
  • You are resourceful, capable of absorbing a large quantity of information, and able to plan and execute experiments, evaluations and tests for validation and verification.
  • You are an organized and self-motivated team player, capable of working with or without supervision, able to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
  • You show initiative, efficiency, have a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, good interpersonal communication skills and technical judgment.
