Global Partner Solutions is seeking a Flight Control System Engineer to support and sustain current aircraft programs (Challenger, Global Express, Global 8000) while also contributing to the development and readiness of future platforms such as Ecojet.

Key Contributions

  • Perform integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
  • Support the development of concepts, design approaches, and system philosophies with the Flight Control System supplier.
  • Perform and review analyses to evaluate concept feasibility.
  • Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements for the Flight Control System. 
  • Review and prepare technical requirements and test procedures.
  • Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing.
  • Review and prepare test reports in support of certification activities.
  • Resolve issues arising from in‑service aircraft, including troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, corrective action definition, and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with the ARP4754 development process.
  • Support trade‑off studies and life‑cycle cost analysis for future programs.
  • Ensure the design process and resulting equipment implementation meet program requirements and standards.
  • Provide on‑site support as needed, including visits to supplier facilities, regulatory authorities, final assembly lines, completion centers, and flight test centers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of aerospace‑related experience.
  • Direct involvement in the definition and certification of at least one FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control system.
  • Strong understanding of system definition, integration, and certification, with knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto‑flight).
  • Knowledge of Part 25 certification processes.
  • Experience with modeling and dynamic simulation of flight‑control electrical and hydraulic actuators is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Familiarity with additional simulation environments (e.g., ADAMS) or design tools (e.g., CATIA) is an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and requirements‑management tools.

  • Excellent oral presentation skills in English and French.
  • Strong technical writing skills in English (French is an asset).
