Supplier Quality Specialist - Toronto

Job Title:  Supplier Quality Specialist    
Location:  Toronto, ON    Fully onsite @ Supplier
Mobility:  Need to be open to travel regularly. Depending on the supplier
Key Skills required
Citizenship requirements:  Must be Canadian Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident of Canada

• ASQ certification, 6 sigma
• Experience in Quality Assurance
• Aerospace experience
• Demonstrated problem solving capability. High pressure environment.
• Project management skills in quality. 
• Root cause analysis

Requirements:

• Perform source inspection at the supplier to evaluate the quality of systems components
• Lead quality review with suppliers
• Request detailed corrective actions to the supplier for repetitive issues
• Evaluate the overall quality supplier performance
• Initiate corrective actions request for repetitive issues
• Provide visibility on the open actions & follow-up (Powerpoint presentation) to management
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in supplier quality and/or quality assurance
• Experience in the Aerospace industry (preferred)
• Strong leadership, problem solving, flexibility and project management skills
• Experience with supplier intervention
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in French and English
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Flexible, available and you are able to travel locally and internationally, sometimes with short notice
