Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supplier Management / Supply Chain Program Focal to join our dynamic team onsite in Wichita, KS. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in supplier contracts, negotiation, and supply chain program management. This role involves managing supplier relationships, evaluating potential suppliers, and delivering key supply chain deliverables for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Manage relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and stakeholders across all levels.
    • Maintain supplier engagement to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

 

  • Contracting and Negotiation:
    • Develop and negotiate supplier contracts to secure the best value for the organization.
    • Manage post-award supplier activities, ensuring compliance and performance.


  • Supplier Research and Evaluation:
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for continued and new business opportunities.
    • Conduct market analysis and performance assessments to maintain a competitive supply base.

 

  • Request for Proposals (RFP) and Quotations:
    • Develop comprehensive RFPs and RFQs.
    • Analyze supplier responses and make strategic sourcing decisions.

 

  • Cost and Financial Analysis:
    • Serve as the cost focal for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
    • Perform financial analysis, cost modeling, and estimate evaluations to support decision-making.

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Facilitate and participate in internal and external cross-functional meetings.
    • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to deliver supply chain solutions.

  

  • Presentation Development:
    • Develop professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to communicate strategies, project updates, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Supply Chain Deliverables:
    • Ensure the timely delivery of key supply chain milestones and deliverables. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in supplier management, supply chain, and program management within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier contracts and negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in developing RFPs, analyzing supplier proposals, and managing contract awards.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to perform cost analysis and estimation tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other presentation tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and compliance standards.
  • Understanding of supply chain risk management and mitigation strategies.
