Key Responsibilities

• Play a central role in the decarbonization of civil aviation by using state-of-the-art aerodynamic design and analysis tools, such as advanced optimization algorithms.
• Interpret results from numerical analyses, wind tunnel tests, or flight tests with a critical eye to understand the behavior of the various aircraft components.
• Develop and deliver aerodynamic models or data to evaluate missions, loads, or flight qualities.
• Work within multidisciplinary design teams, understanding the needs and constraints of other disciplines to propose the most optimal design solutions for the aircraft.
• Collaborate effectively with other flight physics groups based in Canada and Europe, leveraging Airbus’s unique transnational environment and the expertise of our colleagues.
• Participate in the transformation of Airbus Canada’s engineering capabilities by understanding the limitations of current tools and processes and proposing innovative solutions to continuously improve efficiency.

Required Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree or a PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• You have solid experience in aerodynamics within the aerospace sector, ideally having worked on multiple aircraft programs.
• You have a good understanding of the fundamental principles of aerodynamic shape design and analysis, along with strong proficiency in the tools required for this work.
• You enjoy collaborative work within a moderately sized team and the opportunity to work on a wide range of topics to support your department.
