THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services. This remote position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a foundation in payroll or accounting who is eager to grow their skills in U.S. payroll processing, compliance, and client support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn. They are comfortable working with numbers, documentation, and systems, and they take pride in delivering work that is accurate and compliant. This role supports the senior payroll and accounting teams and is a great fit for someone who is organized, proactive, and looking to expand their career in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Payroll Support
- Assist in processing payroll for clients under the guidance of senior team members.
- Enter and verify employee data, including hours worked, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
- Support the preparation and submission of payroll tax filings and reports.
- Ensure payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee files.
Client Support
- Respond to routine client questions about payroll timelines and documentation requirements.
- Help onboard new payroll clients by collecting data and setting up payroll systems under supervision.
- Maintain clear records of client communications and ensure documentation is organized and complete.
Process and Administrative Tasks
- Organize and archive payroll records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Assist in monthly reconciliation of payroll accounts and help prepare summary reports.
- Support the payroll and accounting teams with various administrative and compliance-related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or administrative support (U.S. payroll experience a plus).
- Basic knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations and tax filing requirements.
- Experience using payroll or accounting software such as QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, or Paychex is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Comfortable handling sensitive data and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn in a remote work environment.
- Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and contribute to team success.
