Job Summary

Assist with biological research activities, experiment execution, data analysis, and report generation. This role offers hands-on experience supporting plant biology and laboratory operations under the guidance of senior scientists.
Job Description
- Mid Level Biologist supports research and development activities related to plant reproductive tissues and plant biology
- Execute experiments and deliver accurate data under moderate supervision
- Assist with protocol development, experiment planning, and report generation
- Perform laboratory, greenhouse, and field research activities
- Support plant care and maintenance in greenhouse settings
- Collect, handle, and safely dispose of plant specimens following standard procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve research objectives
- Travel to multiple worksites within the St. Louis area as needed
- Participate in field experiments outside of the St. Louis area
- Maintain attention to detail and ensure completeness of assigned work
- Follow standard operating procedures and laboratory best practices

Education/Training/Certifications
- A bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of experience with an emphasis in agriculture, botany, biology, or a related area is a strong plus.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
- Start Time: 07:30 AM
- Ability to work in greenhouse and outdoor field conditions
- Travel will be required, including occasional 2–4 day stays at various work locations during the summer.
- Overnight travel up to 5% of the time may be required
- Ability to safely handle and dispose of biological specimens
- Ability to work as part of a high-performing multidisciplinary team
- Laboratory/office environment; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and walk approximately 0.5 miles per day without difficulty
- May be required to operate company fleet vehicles (e.g., Chevrolet Suburban, automatic transmission)
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $33.39 to $41.39 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
