Overview

At Quorum Software, our Principal Business Analysts are highly motivated, hardworking professionals who solve complex problems through cross-functional collaboration. They leverage deep industry and product expertise to strengthen internal teams, drive industry innovation, and deliver impactful software solutions.

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will work closely with the Product Management, Sales, and Solutions teams to coordinate the development of new product offerings and enhancements to existing products. Serving as a bridge between Product Management and Engineering, you will play a key role in advancing the product vision.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Principal Business Analyst will perform some or all of the following duties in relation to product development:

 

  • Collaborate with Product Management to understand business requirements and value, and translate them into user stories and acceptance/technical criteria for developers throughout the release cycle
  • Engage with current and prospective customers to validate user stories, designs, and approaches ahead of development
  • Represent Quorum at industry-related events, including schools, trade shows, and standards organizations
  • Guide developers during the release cycle by clarifying requirements and acceptance criteria, and offering industry context for the features being developed
  • Work closely with team members to develop and execute plans, providing regular updates on progress and risks
  • Support cross-functional teams by improving velocity and quickly resolving blockers
  • Conduct internal reviews of final products prior to release to ensure functionality and readiness for delivery
  • Contribute to advancing the product vision and strategy
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support team member growth in product and industry knowledge
  • And other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in measurement related roles for the energy industry required
  • Quorum FLOWCAL and/or Field Apps (TESTit, PROVEit) end user experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or Power BI
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to include internal/external interaction, documentation and presentations
  • Understanding of various software applications and/or methodologies (Agile and Scrum)
  • Proven ability to self-manage and complete project deliverables

  • Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and passport/ID validation.
