Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role involves supporting daily laboratory operations, assisting with analytical testing, and ensuring the safe and accurate handling of chemical substances. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in laboratory practices and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and compliant work environment.

 

Job Description

  • Perform routine laboratory tasks following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Receive and independently carry out instructions for assigned laboratory activities.
  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals including acids, R&D samples, and chemical waste using proper wet chemistry techniques.
  • Prepare a variety of solid and liquid samples in support of analytical testing.
  • Assist analytical chemists with tasks such as sample preparation, pipette validation, and balance verification.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO and other quality standards.
  • Uphold laboratory cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S principles.

 

Skills Required

  • Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques and analytical methods.
  • Understanding of chemical safety and best practices in a lab setting.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping skills.
  • No additional medical testing is required for this role.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience;
  • OR an Associate Degree in Chemistry or a related field with 1 year of experience;
  • OR a BS in Chemistry or a related science field with no experience required.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift: M-F 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
