Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipe Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

 

 

Job Description

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
  • Cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes and piping systems using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Install supports, valves, and fittings to ensure proper system functionality and safety.
  • Conduct tests on piping systems for leaks and integrity, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Weld, solder, or glue pipe joints depending on the material and application.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged piping systems.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.

 

Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in [industrial, commercial, residential] settings.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with various pipe materials, such as PVC, copper, steel, and others.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of piping systems and components.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

 

Education/Training/Certifications        

  • High School Diploma or GED.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • Journeyman certification is preferred.

 

Pay Rate        

  • $36 per hour
