Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious R&D Laboratory Specialist to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will be currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and possess a strong interest in hands-on laboratory work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional R&D environment.

 

Job Description

  • Maintain a safe and organized R&D lab environment, actively participating in lab safety roles and protocols
  • Adhere to best practices for lab notebook documentation, data storage, and backup procedures
  • Perform and document inventory of chemicals and lab consumables
  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals and compressed gas canisters
  • Organize lab storage areas and maintain cleanliness and order
  • Carry out chemical reactions, purifications, and fillings with precision, following established procedures and documenting work thoroughly

 

Skills Required

  • Currently enrolled in a college program majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Strong sense of teamwork and a safety-first mindset
  • Experience working with water- and moisture-sensitive chemicals
  • Familiarity with glove box operations and handling air-sensitive materials

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • College student majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

 

Additional Requirements

  • B.S in chemistry or related fields is preferred.
  • Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm 

 

Pay Rate

  • $33 per hour
