Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Material Services Specialist – Par Tech. Replenish par level areas with supplies. Accurately stack customer supplies orders for delivery to hospital supply locations in a manner that meets department standards for safety, security, and productivity. Performs general physical activities in warehouse; loading, unloading, sorting, and moving products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.

 

Job Description

  • Inventories par level areas using electronic handheld equipment – iPad readers
  • Restocks par level areas.
  • Delivers supplies to par level area.
  • Maintains and arranges items on shelves for maximum efficiency.
  • Removes debris and boxes from the cleanrooms.
  • Processes requisitions in PMM computer system.
  • Communicates stock outs, unit of measure discrepancies, and order problems to the Manager of Distribution.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
  • Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Performs cycle counts and keeps assigned shelf locations neat and orderly.
  • Takes initiative to assist patient care staff with identification of supply needs and available alternative when requested.
  • Delivers STAT supply requests to user department via cargo van in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Company departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, attendance, and dress code.
  • Frequent contact with Logistics staff, truck drivers, nursing staff, other service assistants and vendors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned when needed by management.

 

Skills Required

  • Three years of relevant experience in Material Distribution preferred.
  • Standing, bending, and walking to and from dock from time to time
  • One-year hospital experience.
  • Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
  • Operating powered industrial equipment required.
  • Ability to perform excessive walking, lifting, and standing.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Outlook.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. of supplies.
  • Must be able to push a cart with a maximum of 250 lbs. of stock supplies.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school graduate

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift time: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; Tuesday – Saturday
  • Dress Code: T-shirt (no logos) collard pull over Khaki pants or scrubs

 

Pay Rate

  • $17.00 per hour
