Job Summary
If you're interested in an Entry Level Field Research Assistant job, then this is the best role for you. Field Research Assistant will assist Agronomic Research Specialists in executing yield trial research activities at the research station.
Job Description
- Assist with operations related to yield trials, including experiment setup, soil sampling, UAV operation, data collection, planting, hand harvesting, and combining.
- Perform additional activities as assigned.
- Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge agricultural technology.
- Collaborate with talented research scientists and managers.
- Contribute to advancing agricultural product development for commercial delivery.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of agronomy, crop science, or related fields
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds at multiple sampling events throughout the field season.
- Attention to detail that enables the conduct of high-quality experiments per required protocols, and commitment to following strict data collection parameters.
- Must be an effective communicator and will work closely with teams from different organizations within the company at the applicable facility.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background checks.
- Shift: 7:30 AM
- Hours: 35-40 per week
- Valid driver's license.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $19.00 to $27.00 per hour based on qualifications.
