Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Food Service Attendant - Hostess. You will be responsible for the food service operation on the patient care areas.
Job Description
- Serves therapeutically correct trays to patients, processes diet orders, collects patient menu selections, adjusts patient menus in accordance with patient’s diet order and the diet reference manual, processes menu for trayline and demonstrates outstanding customer service.
Skills Required
- Six months food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of modified diets, calorie counts, and fluid restrictions
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret diet order and menu selection
- Ability to perform fundamental arithmetic computations
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to exercise judgment and tact
- Skill in interpersonal relations and customer satisfaction
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer services and service recovery techniques
- Ability to use the computer to obtain messages and meal/nourishment reports
- Ability to use, and carry, iPad to collect patient menus
- Ability to perform math calculations
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school graduation or its equivalent
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- ServSafe certificate preferred
Additional Requirements
- Shift: Rotating shifts/days - 7:30am-4:00pm; 11:30am-8:00pm
- Dress code: White scrub top; black scrub pants (black cargo pants ok, but no jeans, yoga pants, or tight leggings); foot ware needs to be waterproof, or resistant, and skid proof.
