Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Human Resources team. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, including managing personnel files, coordinating employee-related documentation, and supporting communication between staff and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Description

  • Scan and digitize hard copies of employee personnel records
  • Create and maintain electronic employee files (e.g., onboarding documents, performance reviews, payroll forms)
  • Compile, chart, and publish employee-related reports (attendance, time reporting, corrective actions)
  • Maintain employee communication boards and postings
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and the IT Help Desk
  • Assist with internal projects such as training material updates and employee engagement initiatives
  • Provide general administrative support and complete various tasks as requested by the HR department

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in an administrative assistant role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with demonstrated examples of use
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively and professionally within a team
  • Dexterity and comfort with filing, typing, and handling electronic documents
  • Familiarity with general office procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Experience with office equipment and devices
  • Fast and accurate typing; ability to take notes and handle documentation efficiently
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to sit for extended periods

 

Education/Certification/Training

  • High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

 

Pay Rate

  • $25 per hour

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Experience in a Human Resources or employee-focused administrative environment
  • Knowledge of HR software or document management systems
