Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assistant Process Operator to join our production team at our Odessa, TX manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility for this position is assisting in the blending, reacting, and packaging of products. The role requires the use of mechanical and electrical equipment, such as pumps, mixing equipment, and automation control systems. As part of the production team, you will help maintain the facility’s high safety standards, comply with certification requirements, and perform general labor duties to ensure smooth operations.

 

Job Description

  • Complete daily tasks within production operations.
  • Operate and maintain equipment for blending, reacting, and packaging of products.
  • Perform forklift duties as required.
  • Utilize mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps and mixing equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including incident reporting and near miss documentation.
  • Enter production data, goods receipts, and shipping documentation.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the work area and monthly document reporting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing daily housekeeping.
  • Assist in physical inventory counts and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO requirements.

  • A two-year process technology degree is a plus.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a batch or specialty chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Forklift operation certification.
  • 24-hour Hazwoper certification is preferred.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs or ladders, squatting, and bending.

 

 Pay Rate

  • $21 per hour
