Job Summary

We are seeking Assembler to join our client’s team. The Assembler will perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks that require precise, dexterous movements to maintain assembly pace and product quality. This role involves working with both mechanical and electrical components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Job Description

  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Successfully complete all site-specific training on safety protocols and product quality standards.
  • Receive components or items for assembly and/or testing according to a programmed sequence.
  • Assemble and/or test mechanical or electrical components, coordinating sensitive hand movements and equipment use.
  • Assemble minor variations of standard products as necessary.
  • Follow detailed assembly/test instructions, including color codes, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping, using basic hand or power tools, along with simple jigs and fixtures.
  • Enter work hours into the ERP system (currently SAP), if applicable.
  • Complete all necessary production documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement process and conduct daily housekeeping and 5S audits.
  • Read and understand simple layout and assembly drawings to ensure proper assembly.
  • Maintain equipment and workspace in clean, safe condition.
  • Meet both internal and external customer needs and expectations.

 

Skills Required

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Frequent walking, writing, and typing required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing, bending, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to heat up to 120°F and cold to 0°F, with potential noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete floors.
  • Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

 

Additional Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar mechanical assembly role preferred.
  • This is a day shift role - hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm; 30 min lunch will be provided
  • There is potential for required OT and Saturday work
  • Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through previous work experience, high school or technical school coursework, or personal hobbies/interests.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $18 per hour
