Job Summary

This position contributes to the company’s success by performing accurate and efficient complex maintenance and installations for manual machines and CNCs (FANUC, Okuma …), while serving as a quality control point when working as a team, to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner

 

Job Description

  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards/problems and the need for adjustments, repairs, or replacement
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment for manual machines and CNCs
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
  • Disassemble machinery and repair or replace broken parts
  • Dismantle, test, and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools power tools, and test apparatus to locate defects
  • Clean and lubricate parts
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to less senioor maintenance mechanics
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
  • Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Inspect the work of others
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Support and/or participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Proactively participates in the Client's Safety Program
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills Required

  • 3 year's experience in industrial maintenance
  • Able to tear down CNC components and rebuild capability
    • Spindle, control panels, conveyors, and more
  • Good communicator (verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical processes and procedures
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical tools and equipment
  • Team-oriented and able to operate within a diverse group 

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • TRAINING:
    • Quality Management System and Indoctrination
    • Plant required, New Hire Safety Training
    • Product training as needed
    • Customer specified or supplied training, when required
    • Job-specific procedures, work instructions, forms and processses (if applicable) and as needed per QMS revisions and updates

 

Additional Requirements

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Standing, bending, sitting, lifting to 50 lbs., squatting, and walking for 8 to 12 hours per day
    • Exposure to the Production Environment daily

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $20.00 - $25.00/hr. depending on experience
