Are you excited by challenges?  Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, international and dynamic environment?  Then now is the time to join Quorum Software, a rapidly growing company and industry leader in oil & gas transformation.

Quorum Software is the world's largest provider of digital technology focused solely on business workflows that empower the next evolution of energy. From emerging companies to supermajors, throughout every region of the globe, customers rely on Quorum's proven innovation and unmatched global expertise to streamline business operations and make data-driven decisions that optimize profitability and growth. Our industry-leading solutions are transforming energy companies across the entire value chain, helping visionary leaders evolve their organizations into modern energy companies.

Overview

We’re building shared AI infrastructure at Quorum — the kind that makes every product smarter, not just one. This role leads the data platform pillar of that effort: the foundation that powers AI and ML capabilities across our 30+ product portfolio. Quorum customers use multiple products, and the value of those products together should be greater than the sum of their parts. A rising tide raises all ships — this role is the tide.

You’ll work at the intersection of technical architecture and organizational influence. You’ll take high-level, sometimes fuzzy strategic inputs and turn them into executable plans — then execute. You’ll earn buy-in from product teams that are understandably focused on their own backlogs, making the value of shared infrastructure obvious and worth their time. This role is part of the CTO office and represents AI data strategy across the organization.

Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Delivery

  • Design and own the data platform for AI/ML: curated datasets, feature and embedding pipelines, data quality, lineage, governance, and access controls.
  • Establish shared patterns and reusable components that enable AI capabilities to be built consistently across products.
  • Build working prototypes that demonstrate value, then harden them into repeatable platform capabilities.
  • Ensure production readiness: deployment, SLAs, observability, cost and latency controls.

Cross-Team Influence & Adoption

  • Partner with product and engineering leaders to surface AI opportunities and translate shared infrastructure into something teams actually want to engage with.
  • Overcome organizational apathy — make the value of the shared data platform concrete and compelling to teams focused on their own roadmaps.
  • Coordinate globally to capture AI and data requirements, prioritize a roadmap, and get shared capabilities into product backlogs.

Autonomous Execution & Communication

  • Take fuzzy direction and shape it into a plan — then execute. Clarify what you need, make reasonable assumptions, and move.
  • Identify and set priorities that cut across diverse product lines — balancing shared platform needs against competing team roadmaps.
  • Communicate progress clearly and consistently across the organization, both direct and indirect stakeholders.
  • Present to C-suite leaders: translate technical tradeoffs into business language and align AI initiatives to measurable outcomes.

Technical Leadership

  • Guide teams on AI solution selection: when to use ML vs. LLMs vs. simpler approaches.
  • Lead ML/LLM integration patterns: RAG, vector search, prompt management, model routing, and safety strategies.
  • Improve ML literacy across engineering teams and enable consistent practices globally.
  • Stay hands-on with cloud and tooling to validate designs and keep decisions grounded in implementation reality.

And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in data engineering, ML engineering, or hybrid AI/data roles with meaningful production experience.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously under ambiguous direction — you take a strategic goal and figure out what needs to happen without being told.
  • Track record of building cross-team buy-in for shared infrastructure, especially with skeptical or indifferent stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills: confident presenting to executives, clear with non-technical audiences.
  • Strong background in both ML model development and data pipeline engineering.
  • Hands-on with at least one cloud platform (Azure preferred) and ML frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Fluency with AI developer tools — Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and similar are part of how you work, not a novelty

Preferred Skills

  • Databricks experience: Unity Catalog, ML pipelines, or data platform architecture.
  • Experience establishing AI/ML practices from scratch in a multi-product organization.
  • Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
  • Experience with time series forecasting, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics in industrial or operational domains.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Quorum Software applications and solutions.

Additional Details

  • Salary commensurate with experience ($132,700 - $176,900 US Dollars) with bi-weekly pay via direct deposit.  Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.  Quorum Software reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications, experience, training, work history, and geographic location of the selected candidate.
  • Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and passport/ID validation.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in the United States or Canada (wherever the successful candidate is currently located) is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
