Job Purpose 
The Lead Software Architect plays a pivotal role in driving the technical vision and architecture of our products. In this position, you will design, document, and guide the implementation of complex system solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product strategy. You will lead or contribute to our Architecture Guilds, fostering best practices and architectural excellence across teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role. While you will provide architectural direction and oversee critical technical initiatives, you will also contribute to development activities as part of one of our Scrum Teams when capacity allows. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

What you Will Do:

• 6 Help engineering teams devise product approaches or architectural approaches to problems.
• Support the product teams throughout the implementation of those approaches.
• Communicate technical and architectural approaches to others at Quorum either through direct communication, brown bags or architectural review sessions
• Mentor engineers in an open, respectful, flexible, empathetic manner.
• Keeps up with Industry best practices
• Aware of architectural patterns in Software engineering and how and where the products they work with employ those patterns
• Completed All required security training
• Understand company goals, ask questions / challenge company goals / seeks clarity on what the company is doing and why.Uses the context of company goals to inform their work.
• Can explain the impact of the technology direction to non-technical stakeholders.
• Can map their teams work to the technology goals and facilitate team engagement.
• Nurture empathy and no blame culture in the interactions. 
• Read the morale of their teams and helps respond to any needs
• Understand and communicates the goals across their team, and how they contribute to the company’s success.
• Helps shape product team goals to ensure they are delivering value for the business.
• Articulate and question the tech department goals.
• Help advocate the tech department goals.
• And other duties as assigned.

What to Bring:

Education & Background

• University degree—preferably a B.Tech. or equivalent—in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline.

Architectural Expertise
You are a proven expert in designing and guiding modern, large-scale software systems, including:

• Architecture and design for modern web applications with API-driven backends
• Front-end architecture for scalable, maintainable UI platforms
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Modern data storage design using caching layers and relational/NoSQL databases
• Integration patterns for external and third-party systems
• Full multi-tenancy design across all application layers and supporting services
• Continuous delivery practices, including zero-downtime deployments and automated CI/CD pipelines
• Experienced in Enterprise data, applying GenAI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and machine learning/optimization techniques to enhance system intelligence, automation, and decision-making

Technical Mastery
You bring hands-on experience and deep proficiency with:

• Angular for front-end applications, including design-to-code workflows and automated testing practices
• Java Spring Boot for backend services and API development
• Kubernetes and containerized deployments
• PostgreSQL for relational data storage and performance tuning
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) leveraging Keycloak
