zdSCADA® is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our growing team. As a leader in SCADA software and services for the oil and gas industry, we’ve been at the forefront of innovation since 2014, monitoring and controlling over 30,000 devices across the USA. Our SCADA platform is fully developed in-house, including the web front-end, API, polling engine, and device drivers.

 

Overview

You will join and immediately contribute on the team that supports one of Quorum’s market leading enterprise applications. This role will be based in Quorum’s office in Tyler, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of tools and technologies to perform some aspects or phases of the full lifecycle of software development:
    • Work with the development team in improving and expanding the zdSCADA platform.
    • Design, implement, test, and deploy software in an agile environment.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive tests, including unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests.
    • Work with customers to build custom reports, exports, and 3rd party integrations.
    • Provide technical assistance to internal customer support team.
    • Assist in executing and maintaining SOC2 security controls.
  • Collaborate with others on the team to improve overall product quality and development & support efficiency
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or higher-level education equivalent
  • An interest in full cycle application development, including design, development, implementation, and support
  • Knowledge of and experience with basic object-oriented programming concepts through coursework, job experience, or hobbies
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and success working in team environments
  • Exposure to one or more of the following technologies is preferred:
    • C#, C++, Javascript, Typescript, Lua, T-SQL
    • Git, ASP.NET, Vue.js, Playwright, Azure DevOps.
    • AWS EC2, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS Redshift
    • Android and iOS development

Additional Details

  • Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and passport/ID validation.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
