Full Time Network Engineer
The Information Technology department is now accepting applications for a Network Engineer to work in the Corporate Office in Tulsa, OK. This position is responsible for participating in the delivery of highly available network infrastructure platforms by designing, assessing, implementing project planning, documenting and supporting multiple complex network environments.
This position needs to intently focus on prioritization and always seek improvement of processes and tools. This position will be involved in multiple projects through all life-cycle phases in accordance with established procedures and standards and will ensure that monitoring and uptime are treated as importantly as the original deployment. This position provides Tier 3 technical support for all network infrastructure enterprise systems and requires constant problem-solving and is heavily reliant on teamwork. This position will report to the Infrastructure Engineering Manager.
The requirements for this position include: Associates’ Degree in Computer/Network Engineering or related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4–6 years’ progressive experience in network administration. Must possess moderate knowledge of Cisco and switches, routing and switching protocols, WAN protocols, and Cisco PRIME. Moderate understanding of load balancing systems and DNS. Must have ability to create and interpret high-detail network documentation and topologies. Moderate experience troubleshooting network related problems. Moderate experience administering firewalls, wireless access points. General understanding of operating systems, server infrastructure, and broader IT systems that rely on the network. Ability to Rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills perpetually, and remain current on existing and future technologies. Moderate experience in network design, implementation and administration of Cisco infrastructure. Skills include day-to-day network implementation/administration to ensure the high-performance and high-availability requirements of network systems and services are met. Diagnostic/troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Planning and goal setting at high and detailed levels; ability to implement technical strategy and design solutions to meet that strategy. Ability to solve problems independently, quickly then communicate them clearly to management. Needs to be able to work in a team environment. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Must be able to take the initiative and to work without direct supervision.
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. but may vary according to projects and deadlines. The salary range for this position can be up to $91,000 - $137,900 per year, depending on related experience and qualifications.
