Information Assurance Manager:

The Information Assurance Manager (IAM) will provide information assurance subject matter expertise and support to the customer. The IAM shall manage configurations, coordinate and complete any required IA and A&A actions, and routinely administer and execute the monthly updates and vulnerability management program. The IAM shall coordinate configuration boards, document and publish approved configurations, and coordinate changes with the customer, other support agencies, and agencies of interest. The IAM shall prepare, submit, and coordinate Authorization and Assessment packages and documents upon Government approval. The IAM shall perform systems security analysis to assess vulnerability using commercial and government procedures and software to develop and distribute monthly, or as required, updates and patches as directed by the Government.

Duties may include providing end-user support for government equipment, coordinating virtual government meetings, and reporting security violations and incidents according to government regulations. Duties may also include ensuring implementation of periodic security inspections, assessments, tests, and reviews, and ensuring all government business systems achieve initial and annual certifications.

 

The Information Assurance Manager (IAM) shall meet the following criteria:

  • Position requirements for Information Assurance Manager Level II (IAM Level II) as listed in DoD 8570.01-M, Table C4.T4;
  • Certification requirements for Information Assurance Manager Level II (IAM Level II) as listed in DoD 8570.01-M, Table AP3.T1; and
  • Perform all functions for Information Assurance Manager Level II (IAM Level II) as listed in DoD 8570.01-M, Table C4.T5.


Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 5-10 years.
  • Have basic knowledge of networking protocols.
  • Possess a Network+ CE, Security+ CE.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the DoD or Military Service working with information assurance and certification and accreditation processes.
  • Requires compliance with DoD Instruction 8570. 01-M, and IAM level II certification; CISSP, CISM, GSLC or CAP required.
  • Excellent technical writing skills a must
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Must be U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a (NACI)
  • Must have baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8570.01-M (CompTIA Security+) and be enrolled in continuing education program for commercial certification. Must also possess a Computing Environment commercial certification.

 

Desired Requirements:

  • Ability to provide senior level consulting services for all IT and IA related efforts.
  • Ability to develop IA documentation for government customers.
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy to include policy testing and production system administration using Microsoft Group Policy Management Console
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management
  • Desired knowledge and experience providing advanced level information technology assistance in a government information environment.
