This full-time, on-site opportunity in Amherst, NY offers a starting pay range of $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2+ years of experience in administration, coordination, customer service, or a similar support role — especially within a technical or IT-facing team.

As the IT Service Coordinator, you will play a central role in managing IT workflows, updating users and software systems, and supporting a team that handles front-line tech operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring help desk tickets are properly logged, prioritized, and followed through, maintaining software records and user access, and tracking important tasks and deliverables.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and is confident managing multiple tasks and communicating across all levels of an organization.

This is an onsite position in the WNY area.  

Responsibilities

  • Sort, assign, and prioritize incoming IT service tickets using a tracker system
  • Coordinate with IT vendors and internal team members to ensure timely resolution
  • Act as the point person between users requesting help and the technicians providing support
  • Monitor the progress of IT tasks and help keep the team on schedule with deliverables
  • Maintain software user access: adding new users, updating permissions, deactivating accounts
  • Support HRIS platform management (e.g., Paycom) for onboarding/offboarding tasks
  • Help prepare reports on IT activity, ticket trends, and team performance
  • Coordinate IT meetings and training sessions: scheduling, agendas, note-taking, action tracking
  • Maintain documentation such as internal procedures, workflow maps, and user guides
  • Assist in tracking IT assets and managing software programs to ensure everything’s up to date
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, end-users, and external vendors

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably in an IT or technical environment.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and processes, including user account management, software installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams); ability to quickly learn IT-specific tools and systems.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom) is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Communications or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
