Job Summary

Overall Purpose:

 

The jobholder is responsible in providing technical execution and specialist architectural support for the Bank’s building projects and property assets.  The role is accountable for the daytoday delivery and quality control of architectural and civil engineering processes, ensuring that all works related to Bankowned or Bankoccupied properties meet approved technical standards, operational requirements and statutory obligations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The job holder will be responsible for:

 

▪ Working with the Facilities and Procurement Departments in the execution of building, refurbishment and maintenance projects across the Bank’s property portfolio.

▪ Ensuring that the Bank’s technical and operational requirements are upheld on all projects, including those managed by external Periti, architects or engineers.

▪ Providing daytoday technical advice to facilities on building maintenance, statutory compliance, repairs and refurbishment works.

▪ Undertaking and contributing to architectural and civil engineering design activities, including preparation and review of drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

▪ Supporting the procurement processes by reviewing technical specifications, evaluating tenders and contributing to contractor and consultant selection.

▪ Participating in the support technical and commercial negotiations with contractors, engineers, designers and other professional advisors

▪ Monitoring works on site, as required, to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards.

▪ Maintaining accurate technical records, reports and documentation related to projects and maintenance activities.

▪ Providing technical input and support to the Lead as required.

 

In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.

Required Criteria

Previous proven work experience of one (1) year related to the local construction industry, AND an MQF level 7 Masters Degree in Architecture and/or Civil Engineering, in possession of a local warrant in relation to Architect / Civil Engineer and in possession of a clean driving license.
