Title:  Technician (General Laborer)

Department: Operations

Reports To:  Operations Team Leader


SUMMARY:  This is an entry level production/general laborer position. As a Technician, you will be trained on various jobs throughout the facility including production/mixing, packaging, warehouse operations, quality control and sanitation.


PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: This position works a 12-hour schedule that rotates days of the week. You must be able to work weekends (every other) and potentially some holidays.


PAY:  $19.16 per hour



Include the following - Other duties may be assigned:

  • Follow all food safety and personal safety rules and regulations
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Responsible to operate machinery on a production line including high speed packaging equipment
  • Perform all required checks, including visual checks as well as product size and weight checks.
  • Assigned to communicate any deviation from standards to the Team Leader.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement activities and occasionally attends off-shift meetings as required.



This position has no supervisory duties.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of a High-School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing and forklift experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50-65 pounds on a frequent basis, climb stairs and ladders
  • Able to speak, read, and write basic English.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and overtime, as needed
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment



Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write reports, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.
