The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter passionate about investment excellence who thrives in a highly collaborative, high-performing team environment to apply. Essential to the equity analyst role is an ability and willingness to meaningfully enhance our research process, strengthen our culture, and help build Mawer into one of the best global investment management firms. 

Summer students are integrated into our Research team right from the beginning of their term for an immersive, hands-on learning experience. They are assigned actual equity analyst tasks; provided training, guidance, and support; and considered members of our team. Some students have even gone on to join our research team post-graduation.  

Role Responsibilities

• Generating investment ideas in collaboration with the Research team 
• Completing in-depth analysis on companies across multiple industries as a generalist investor
• Gathering and analyzing information across different sources and timeframes
• Building discounted cash flow models and evaluating what a business could be worth under different scenarios

Desired Qualifications

• Enrolled in any undergraduate or master’s degree program
• Keen interest in and demonstrated understanding of the investment analysis of companies
• Strong work ethic and a demonstrated track record of excellence and commitment to achieve meaningful results
