SQL DBA

Opportunity: Direct-Hire, Hybrid Schedule

Work Status: Must be US Citizen / Green Card Holder

Location: Hudson, OH - Hybrid 1 day/wk onsite - Hours 8a-5p (flexible).

Pay Range: Up to $120k, based on experience.

Interview Process: 2 steps, 1st video interview with the HM's, then panel-style video with the extended team.

Job Description: 

In this important role, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security. Job activities to include:

Manage SQL and NoSQL databases
Configure and maintain database servers and processes
Monitor system’s health and performance
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

The Technical Requirements of this role are:
5-7 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
Experience with Azure SQL Administration experience required
Experience with NoSQL a plus
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
Familiarity with Ansible and TerraForm
MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
