About the Position:
RWDI is seeking an energetic JuniorGHG Verifier/Validator to join our Stewardship to Sustainability and GHG team in our Windsor office.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Providing 3rd party GHG verifications as a verifier or lead verifier for a variety of sectors including fuel combustion; industrial processes; carbon capture and storage; waste handling and disposal; manufacturing; power generation; mining, mineral and metal production
Planning and coordinating technical aspects of projects
Understanding the applicable sectors and emissions sources/sinks/reservoirs
Preparing verification and sampling plans
Executing verification procedures
Conducting site visits
Writing verification reports and documenting verification procedures
Providing technical leadership to improve technical capability capacity and existing processes
Supporting the maintenance of the verification and validation system and assisting with internal and external audits
Assisting with preparation of proposals, marketing materials, and/or technical papers
Mentoring verifiers-in-training
In addition to the GHG verification role, the candidate might be assisting with NPRI reporting or running dispersion models under Ontario’s regulatory system
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering or science disciplines; advanced degree an asset
Must have knowledge and experience working with the regulatory regimes in Ontario (Regulation 143/16)
Must have good computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must have valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to travel occasionally
Additional qualifications considered an asset:
GHG validation experience considered an asset
Should have experience with Environmental Management Systems such as ISO 14064 or 14065
Completed external auditing course such as CSA’s 14064-3, 14064-2, or 14001
Relevant professional designation, particularly P.Eng. or Auditor
Experience with the regulatory regimes of Alberta (the Specified Gas Emitters Regulation or Competitiveness Incentive Regulation) and British Columbia (Regulation 249/2015)
Experience with developing emission inventories and running dispersion models under Ontario’s regulatory system
Candidates should also possess:

Proven organizational, decision making, and coordination skills
