Packaging Associate

Earnest has been in the business as an industrial distributor and manufacturer of fasteners for 71 years. Our packaging operation is growing and we need team members who can help us plan the day, run machines, and expand our abilities. We have a variety of equipment made by Automated Packaging and looking to upgrade.

This year our goal is to increase our productivity by 300% through improved processes, new equipment, and great people.

What you'll do: 

• Successfully run product through auto-bagging equipment
• Manually pack product
• Pick and stage product to be bagged
• Understands the packaging equipment being used
• Identifies packaging defects quickly and makes adjustments immediately.
• Keeping up with product output
• Set up and start machine and operate successfully
• Make adjustments to machine as needed

What you'll bring: 

• Must have minimum 2 years auto-bagging experience
• General Math skills
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Energetic, enthusiastic and enjoys being a part of a high performing team
• Strong leadership skills
• Knows and understand “how” to delegate work flow
• Strong attention to detail and can connect that to the experience of our customer
• Must embrace and act with the Earnest Core Values in mind
• Proven track record of attendance and reliability
