Role Snapshot

Position Summary

As our portfolio of licensed collectibles and toys continues to expand, we’re seeking a Production Packaging Designer to support the execution and production of licensed packaging. This role is production-focused and requires a strong understanding of packaging structure, licensor compliance, and factory-ready file preparation. The ideal candidate has experience building technical packaging files, working within brand guideline systems, and managing assets with precision and consistency. 


Responsibilities

  • Build detailed, production-ready tech packs for packaging and related components. 

  • Work directly within factory die-lines to prepare accurate print-ready files. 

  • Manage and organize licensor-provided assets, ensuring proper usage, placement, and compliance. 

  • Interpret and adhere to licensor brand guidelines and approval requirements. 

  • Execute packaging layouts for boxes, inserts, labels, instruction sheets, and supporting materials. 

  • Partner with licensing, production, and product development teams to ensure packaging meets brand, cost, and manufacturing requirements. 

  • Manage multiple SKUs and timelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Build detailed, production-ready tech packs for packaging and related components. 

  • Work directly within factory die-lines to prepare accurate print-ready files.

  • Manage and organize licensor-provided assets, ensuring proper usage, placement, and compliance. 

  • Interpret and adhere to licensor brand guidelines and approval requirements. 

  • Execute packaging layouts for boxes, inserts, labels, instruction sheets, and supporting materials. 

  • Partner with licensing, production, and product development teams to ensure packaging meets brand, cost, and manufacturing requirements. 

  • Manage multiple SKUs and timelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

 

Technical Skills (Required)

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (InDesign is a plus). 

  • Expert knowledge of technical packaging files and tech pack creation. 

  • Advanced understanding of die-line usage and print-ready file preparation. 

  • Mastery of asset management and organization. 

  • Experience designing PDQ (Display Trays) and Bundle Packs

  • Illustration skills and mockup creation.


Tools & Systems

  • Creative Suite: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop. 

  • Communication & Productivity: Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive).

  • Time tracking: Hubstaff.
