We are looking for candidates for the following position in our Breda office:

Operator (1.0FTE)

 

 

Iver Ships is a daughter company of Vroon, a family-originated business established in 1890 in the Netherlands. Iver Ships has operated a fleet of product and high-heat tankers since the early 1990-ies. Operating on a worldwide basis, Iver Ships maintains a high-quality Document of Compliance (DOC) and is compliant with all international rules and regulations. We handle commercial, operational and technical management activities related to the seaborne transportation of asphalt/bitumen, liquid pitch cargoes, clean and dirty products and easy chemicals (IMO-2). Our tankers typically serve major oil companies and large trading houses, with the safety of cargoes and all staff ashore and on board having our fullest attention.

 

 

What will you do?
In this position, you are responsible for:

  • Efficient implementation, execution and supervision of assigned commercial contracts, time and voyage charters, ensuring the highest financial results;
  • Facilitating smooth communication between various parties (vessels, customers, technical managers, port agents etc.) involved in the execution of commercial contracts;
  • Maintaining a contract administration for all assigned vessels;
  • Providing reports and analyses to maximise effectiveness of commercial contracts;
  • Assisting in fixing bunker stems and appointing port agents;
  • In addition, you understand and anticipate customer needs for future requirements.

 

In this position, you report to the Managing Director.

Who are we looking for?
Our preferred candidate has:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (e.g. Maritime Operations, Shipping and Logistics);
  • Experience in a similar commercial operations position;
  • Seagoing experience and knowledge of voyage operations/administration software would be an advantage;
  • The skills and mindset to work as a team player, and the willingness to “go the extra mile”;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a commercial attitude;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English;
  • Good Microsoft Excel knowledge.
