We are looking for candidates for the following position at our Breda office:

 

HR Business Partner (1 FTE)

 

With headquarters located in Breda (the Netherlands), Vroon employs about 1,400 professionals in offices around the world and on board a diverse fleet of approximately 65 deepsea and offshore vessels. The Company is active through various subsidiaries and under different brand names, with a focus on its specialised fleets of product and high-heat tankers, livestock carriers and offshore-support vessels.

 

From our Breda office, approximately 95 staff support the Company’s activities.

 

We are seeking a versatile and experienced HR professional to join our team as an HR Business Partner. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing day-to-day HR operations, while also being an advisor to management to drive organisational success. This role is crucial in promoting a harmonious and productive work environment.

The purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to bridge between the HR Department and our organisation’s team managers. This position is integral in aligning human resource practices with business objectives, ensuring the company can achieve its goals through effective people management.

 

What will you do?

In this position, you are responsible for:

HR Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Partner with leadership to implement HR policies that align with business goals.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
  • Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

HR Administration

  • Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing contracts and conducting exit interviews.
  • Administer employee benefits programmes and assist with payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and Company policies.
  • Coordinate training and development programmes.

HR Process Improvements

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and implement best practices.
  • Streamline HR workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they are current and compliant.
  • Lead HR projects aimed at process optimisation and automation.

In this position, you report to the Group Manager ICT & HR.

Who are we looking for?

Our preferred candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years’ proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both Dutch and English
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing HR records and processes.
  • Time Management: Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HR software (preferably AFAS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
