Job Summary

The Senior Mail Room Clerk is responsible for the receipt, sorting, processing, and safe delivery of incoming and outgoing mail and light parcels within the facility. This role ensures compliance with all regulations, maintains accurate records, and prepares shipments for storage or transport, including pallet handling. The position requires an experienced professional capable of applying their knowledge to complex situations and providing guidance to less experienced team members.

 

Job Description

  • Master Provides receipt, safe delivery and processing of mail and light parcels within the assigned facilities
  • Sorts incoming/inter-office mail and light parcels for delivery to addresses.
  • Processes outgoing parcels, pouch, domestic or international Mails
  • Assures that mail is processed in accordance with relevant governing bodies' regulations & guidelines.
  • Works safely at all times
  • Maintains addresses associated to sorting mail/parcels.
  • Assures that workstation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packaging, and documentation.
  • Build, wrap, and prepare pallets for storage or transport.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks.
  • Move materials and products to designated locations within the facility.

 

Skills Required

  • Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience.
  • Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
  • Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.
  • Makes decisions within broad parameters.
  • Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Additional Requirements
