Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Order Selector to join a fast-paced refrigerated distribution environment. This role is responsible for accurately selecting, palletizing, wrapping, and staging customer food orders using electric warehouse equipment and voice-directed technology systems. Products handled include refrigerated meats, dairy, and produce stored in multi-level racking systems.

 

Job Description

  • Review daily work schedules and prepare required tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Operate electric Power Jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks
  • Use order sheets, RF scanners, and/or Vox audio systems to accurately select products
  • Retrieve products from first and second-level storage racks
  • Build customer orders on pallets according to shipping specifications
  • Transport completed orders to the shipping dock staging area
  • Verify product counts and inspect for damaged items
  • Wrap, label, and prepare completed pallets for shipment
  • Rotate date-sensitive inventory using FIFO procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse, dock, and trailer areas
  • Remove and properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and packing materials
  • Inspect, stack, and relocate pallets as needed
  • Rotate between order selecting and trailer loading duties when assigned
  • Change and recharge equipment batteries as required
  • Complete all required paperwork, inspection forms, and documentation
  • Secure equipment and work areas at the end of each shift
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by leadership

 

Skills Required

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, or order selecting experience preferred
  • Experience operating Power Jacks or forklifts is a plus
  • Ability to work in refrigerated or freezer environments
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move products safely and repeatedly
  • Comfortable working in cold storage warehouse conditions
  • Ability to work at varying heights using warehouse equipment

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Pay Rate
