Job Summary

If you're interested in an Entry Level Biologist job, then this is the best role for you! Biologist studies the principles of plant life and performs a variety of tasks in greenhouse and growth chamber settings under general supervision.

Job Description

• Work with row crops (canola, corn, cotton, and soybeans) in greenhouses and growth chamber settings
• Sow, care for, discard, clean, transplant, harvest, and process seeds
• Stand for long periods during daily tasks
• Maintain attention to detail due to the nature of the work
• Work in elevated temperatures during warmer months in greenhouses
• Perform rotational weekend work as required

Skills Required

• Experience in controlled environments and plant cultivation preferred
• Commercial greenhouse experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented and able to follow procedures
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing
• Flexibility to work rotational weekends

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, biology, horticulture, or other life sciences

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• Shift: 08:00 AM
• Ability to work under general supervision
• Willingness to perform a variety of day-to-day tasks
• Comfortable working in greenhouse conditions

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $27.00 to $35.21 per hour based on qualifications.
